Hi, my name is Michael Gunzburg, and I’m here today to talk about Magnus and what Magnus Consulting Research has done, in terms of the cases that I’ve had in the past. I’ve had an opportunity to use Magnus over the last decade, in a variety of different cases involving construction accidents, trucking accidents, and medical malpractice cases among a wide variety of other cases as well. In the cases that I’ve used them, I found an invaluable asset and tool in analyzing the case, in examining the underlying issues involving both the plaintiff’s arguments, as well as the defendant’s arguments in the case. I think that a lot of lawyers frequently, including myself, find it difficult to take a hard look at arguments made by the opposing side. And, Magnus gives you an opportunity to analyze and review those arguments that your adversary will most likely use in a particular case. And then teaches you really how to effectively deal with those arguments to strengthen your case. That’s probably one of the best attributes that I would say that Magnus has done for the cases that I’ve used them for in the past.
I also find it very helpful to be able to make a presentation, as well as listen to what people have to say, about the case. You get opinions and tidbits if you will, little things that people say that help you develop your case, and help you to analyze what type of jurors will best be suitable for your case. That also I find is very helpful.
I also think that the jury research also frequently helps you analyze a case at a particular point in time, so that you can go back and conduct further discovery if you feel that discovery needs to be conducted, in terms of a case and also prepares you to make applicable motions at the time of trial with regard to motions in limine and things like that. I would say that overall Magnus Research Consultants provide an invaluable resource, in at least helping me in the past with my cases and I would strongly recommend it to any attorney, whether they be a plaintiff or a defendant, in helping them analyze the case, examine their strengths and weaknesses, and how really to move forward, in their particular case.
